The systems that organize much of human life like education, healthcare, work, and others were built around the constraints and capabilities of an earlier technological world.
Many of them are now being patched around the edges rather than reconsidered from first principles.
We think increasingly capable technology, particularly AI, may make fundamentally different systems possible.
That is why we work on both sides of the problem.
We want to understand and advance the technology, and understand what that technology can make possible in the systems around us.
